Life lessons according to Spongebob Squarepants
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Now ,Mr. Krabbs seems to have everything, a thriving business, all the money ,
and faithful friends and apparently staff. But, he is so self absorbed in making the green stuff, that he doesn't care who he hurts. (I am referring to the episode where he sells the soul of his most faithful employee Mr. Squarepants to the ever frightening Flying Dutchman for a measly 62 cents)
Let us move on, Mr. Squidward. Wow, he just amazes me in how cold he can be to others around him....This is what self absorption will get you....when you care about no one, how miserable you will become. We are to love one another as Christ has loved us. Mr. Squidward you have taught me to put others ahead of me, I would hate to be so obsessed with myself I wouldn't see the kindness and love that others are showing me.
Finally, we are getting to the grand finale....the major star of the show. Mr. Spongebob Squarepants. I think that if i could pick one character to be it would have to be him. Spongebob is a loyal friend, patient and always thinking of others. Now, come on how many of us would have a friend like Sir. Patrick and not want to rip our hair out. Alas Spongebob sticks by his friend and thinks not of himself. He also shows many times not to give up. Yes, I am referring to the episode where he is trying to be a good neighbor to sir Squidward. This yellow sea sponge that has a plethora of talents shows loyalty to all new heights.
Sponge bob reminds me of one of the many lessons that God teaches us on life....
4Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;b 6it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8Love never ends.
1 Corinthians 13 4-8
How much patience Spongebob has shown others. Even though no one shows him much. I have never heard Spongebob be boastful or envious. I only see joy and happiness when I look at this lesson teacher. Other than the few times that he has lost his temper, he has shown great love and joy. So many times could he bring up all the wrong that was done to him but he does not...maybe in this highly confusing at times show we could learn a few lessons if we look past the idiocy and mistreatment of poor Spongebob.
Now to make my witty statement at the end that will make you ponder life and all that God has to offer.......
Hmmm...I really don't...
I think that maybe we could be a lil more like Spongebob and overlook some of the wrongs that people do to us. To show God's love through our actions. To be a little bit more easy to please. A little bit more joyful in our serving of others and of Savior Jesus Christ. He was the definition of love, understanding, faithfulness and above all he was , is and always will be the main definition of Sacrifice. For although we may be Christians but we are also sinners cleaned and purified by the blood of the Lamb sent by God. To show us how much he loved us and cared for us he spread the arms of his only son on that cross and to show us that his arms are always going to be open to sinners like me. His arms were nailed that way. I am truly in love , with the one who gave it all for me. When he died on that Cross my sins were at his feet.
God Bless, love you all
please do not check my grammar, i am writing about Spongebob here i'm not a perfect writer.

Until last night ugh....so that is now part of our lessons..

being best friends on the movie....yeah..well....they learnned today that not all cartoon
disney movies are real.....but in same sentence they are boys so the loved watching the
feeding habits of lions...haha...ok, so moving right along here...
I am going to attempt to redo my blog to fit my personality better, HEY who knows
if someone sees my blog with a new background and a bunch of cool things on it..I might just might get another reader. oops, on a sidenote...MOM, i love that you are my fan..and actually read this completly disorganized blog of mine..
another feature I really want to do is homeschooling something or another, maybe something that will help others...oooo...and a memory verse that my church gives out every sunday.
I might be the next big blogger and even bring in .20 cents from my adsense...ok, i best be going ...i don't feel healthy right now, just picturing myself talking to myself haha..
God Bless you all
Thank you Jesus for the day you are giving me, God bless those poor people in Haiti
They need you , and after hearing them singing your praises at night , when they are scared
they love you sweet Lord..

Another bundle of boy and then we have four
Wow, it is hard to believe it has been almost 3 years since we brought this little man home...
Well , here is his story. After having Isaac, Jacob and I talked about the risks of having another baby. I am talking about alot of TALKING. We had reached our decision of having my tubes tied..Jacob didn't want to watch me go through another miscarriage or have to raise little Isaac without a momma. So, I agreed . Ihad my gall bladder out beginning of October 2005, and made an appointment with the wonderful Dr. England. I go in before my surgery and sign the papers for the tubule. You have to wait a month between signing the papers and making the appointment for the surgery. So, I have my surgery, and November 10th I believe, I go in for my dr. appointment to find out THAT I AM PREGNANT...I AM PREGNANT.. lol..that is how it was too.. the thing is I already kind of knew that. Jacob, to say the least was shocked, well as shocked as he can get.
So, we were pregnant. We were not getting our tubes tied at this moment. I of course, was scared to death. I mean we just spent 2 years talking about miscarriages, death, stillbirths, and raising Isaac with no momma. To say the least i was a little freaked out. Then, a thought came into my head. If God wanted me to have this baby , I'm so not fighting with that man. Then I was wandering maybe , just maybe Iwould have my little girl. In my eyes a little girl should have an older brother ..right? So , nooone in Jacob's family was happy to say the least. I mean his mom and his dad were ok. his step dad was NOT happy..ugh another story another blog.
My family of course was scared. Lucas had no name the entire pregnancy. We just kind of called him baby. We did find out that he would be a boy. My mother in law and father in law and jacob couldn't understand why I would want to know what I was having ...I just had to laugh..I can't wait for Christmas to come..what would make anyone in their right mind think I could wait to find out what I was going to be giving birth to .. ok, back to my story,
Isaac had his name picked out pretty much as soon as we find out what he was. Poor Luke duke...I had at least 30 name books..we couldn't agree. (on a side note God didn't give us a girl because we couldn't agree on a girls name to save our lives lol..he just wanted to save our marriage).
Luke , was a harder pregnancy. As with Isaac I will not go into the gory details of the pregnancy and labor. I took my shots in the stomach, of course I fell, I had many visits to the hospital....
I will tell you that we did almost lose Lucas and myself in the delivery room. Thank God above that I went to Magee's womens hospital. Those doctors and nurses flooded my room when me and lukes vitals dropped and we crashed. God , was with my family that night.
Fast forward to when I held this 9 pound 13 ounce little man in my arms...my mother in law and I were desperatley trying to find this perfect little guy a perfect little name...She found Lucas with the meaning of "root of all light" and I thought I had the perfect middle name..to name him after Jacob.. lucas Douglas (his dad is Robert Douglas, he is Jacob Douglas ..so you get the picture right?)
My mother in law (God Rest Her Soul) asked me if I could name him completley after his daddy Lucas Jacob Orr..so there yougo folks...that is Luke's story...and we are again talking about the tubule..we have two wild and crazy boys....I want to be here when they will give me grandchildren...
Thank you God for everything you have given me...for my husband who has been my rock, my baby Isaac for being the child he is and for Lucas for being the baby he is....We love you Christ. We could never thank you enough for this family made by your hands.
Amen
